Yesterday my bestfriend and I together with one of her friends went to Pandin Lake in San Pablo, Laguna. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about it lately plus one of my friends, Mac already went there. The photos were so beautiful that I just had to see them for myself personally. Also, my bestfriend is taking tourism and decided to do Pandin Lake as their subject on their research paper.
We were supposed to meet up at jac liner by 8 am however we arrived at 8:30 am. Since I got home at 2am last Saturday night, I woke up kinda late. Our bus left Manila at 9am already. We arrived at Pandin around 11:30.
How to get there:
- Ride a bus going to Lucena. Drop of at SM City San Pablo
- From SM there are jeepneys passing by with the sign “San Pablo”. Tell the driver to drop you off at “Bayan”. (There’s a church nearby)
- Ride a jeep with the sign “Ilog” and tell the driver to drop you off at Pandin Lake. You can also take a tricycle.
The jeepney is much cheaper compared to riding the tricycle. However we still chose to ride a tricylce. Cost us 100php for the ride. Before you get to the lake itself you need to trek for about 10-15 mins. It was a little tiring because some part where a bit steep. My legs kinda hurt afterwards. Hahaha. But I swear it was all worth it.
We were just in time for lunch when we arrived there. We had a reservation for the raft and food. Thanks to my friend for giving us the contact number of their guide. I’ll leave the details below later so you can also contact kuya Ruel incase you’re planning to visit.
Initially, we were suppose to pay 400 pesos each. But there were lots of people and we had to share our raft. So we just paid 360 pesos each.
The food is already included. We had tilapia, dulong na okoy, and some sort of seaweed salad. Water is also included and banana. The food was good. 360 php for the raft rent, food and guide is so worth it! You can also buy buko juice for 25 pesos. They also have deserts that you can buy like ube, leche flan and halo-halo. You can also bring your own food if you like.
The view was majestic. It was very relaxing. The raft rent is only for 2 hours but we almost had it for 3 hours.
The water was not too cold. It was okay. You can’t swim though without a life vest because the water is 180ft deep. There’s a swing made of tire that’s hanging on a tree. It was so fun. I really really enjoyed staying there.
135php – Bus fare from Cubao – SM San Pablo
7 php – Jeep from SM to Bayan
35 php – tricycle form Bayan to Pandin (100 php split into 3 but if you’re riding a jeep it will just cost you 12 php)
360 – Food, guide and raft rent (Prices my vary. Depending on the number of persons)
12 php – Jeep from Pandin to Bayan
7 php – Jeep from Bayan to SM
135 php – SM San Pablo going back to Cubao
All in all I spent 691 pesos. If you’re planning to come its better to have reservations so you don’t have to wait for a raft to be available and you will be the priority in line. I suggest you go there in the morning so there will be lesser people. You can contact kuya Ruel Tolentino at 09998734924 for reservations.
